The unique, open space plan of The Reserve has clustered the homes
to preserve as much of the natural eco-system on the 33 acres as
possible. It is a true conservation development: when you drive in, you
are immediately surrounded by nature.
There are three designs from which to select: the Aspen, Birch and Cedar with two choices of roof styles - gable or gambrel. The homes range from 3,700 to 4,200 square feet with four or five bedrooms (with en-suite baths). A first floor Master Bedroom suite is available. Additional living space can be created on the lower level.
High Quality New England Style Homes
The quality is in the details, and special details abound at The
Reserve. Authentic Connecticut fieldstone and cedar shingles have been
used on the facade, with copper details on the cupolas and bay windows.
The gambrel roof, which is available, is a traditional Nantucket style.
Exceptional craftsmanship is evident throughout. From the custom-designed, solid mahogany front door to the rich crown molding found throughout, these homes have been built to last and built with great style - the way a luxury home should be.
You enter through a two-story foyer featuring an elegant oak staircase and custom, shadow box, raised paneling. There are hardwood floors of 4-inch, select white oak throughout. The solid core interior doors are thicker, heavier and taller than those used by most builders. On the first floor, 9-foot ceilings give the rooms a spacious feel. All homes have at least one custom masonry fireplace. All the en-suite bathrooms have marble or granite floors and countertops. The master bath has heated, radiant flooring and a steam shower with rainhead.

ARS Partners has gone to special lengths to create luxurious,
easy-to-maintain homes, using the finest quality craftsmanship and
products. Structurally, 2" x 6" exterior framing has been used instead
of the standard 2" x 4", resulting in a stronger frame and allowing
heavier insulation materials to be incorporated.
Gourmet Country Kitchens
Kitchens by Deane has designed the gourmet country kitchens with
custom-crafted cabinetry. The kitchens have professional Wolf stainless
steel ranges and double-door, Sub-Zero, stainless steel refrigerators.
The countertops are granite.
Your Own Private Nature Reserve
As an owner in The Reserve at Poplar Plains, you can enjoy the
pleasures of walks in the woods or the walking trail or fishing in one
of our ponds. A large portion of the property is protected by
conservation easements so you can be assured that it will never be
developed. ARS Partners has taken uncommon steps to maintain the
natural beauty of the site. An additional 22 adjacent acres were
donated by ARS Partners to Earthplace, and will never be developed. The
mission of Earthplace, located in Westport, is to educate the community
about nature and the environment and how to preserve and protect it.
Additionally, all utilities have been run underground so that unsightly lines and poles will never mar the natural views found here at The Reserve at Poplar Plains.
